Kas at last.
The clouds soon cleared for a sunny ride.
The water is clear and just beautiful.
A Greek island off the coast which we plan to visit on Friday.
"Paul, take your time, it's a rest day."
Along the coast with Rustem leading the way.
We think Corey likes it....

Our First Rest Day
It was quite an adjustment going from many hours on the plane to 2 hard, long days in the saddle on hilly terrain. It was time for an easy day in preparation for some serious mountains.
We had a very relaxed start going down for Turkish coffee, cay and "toast". This of course was not the kind of toast we get in the states. This is bread filled with cheese and vegetables and toasted just right in a waffle-like iron. After a quick stop at the dessert/pastries shop (Pasthane Nur) for some "power food" it was time to ride.
After a quick rear tire change for Paul it was off to Kalkan. It is a beautiful coastal road with rolling climbs. Corey and Brian road out for the first hours and Rustem, Paul and Tom continued on to Kalkan for soup, rice and beans.
Corey and Brian rode back into town and enjoyed some incredible treatment at the local Turkish barber complete with shave, haircut and massage.
Eventually we all met back at the hotel and went out for dinner and a walk around town. We are looking forward to hitting the bit mountains tomorrow. Time to get some rest.
